Very nice bag
"This is a great bag. It is spacious without being too bulky and I like the material. The trolley sleeve and side pocket make it perfect as an under seat carryon bag. Also the laptop compartment is nice to have. The bag is simple yet has all the features I need. The only reason I did not give it a 5 is the straps are a bit stiff and slide off the shoulder easily. Also, the trolly sleeve could be bigger than just the one ribbon at the top, or at the very least, move the ribbon down towards the middle so it doesn't move around if its bottom heavy."
Handles are made for a tall giant
"So this would be a great bag but the handles are made for a giant to carry. The handles are so long that it drags on the ground for a 5’4” person. And before the mansplaining starts, yes, I’m fully aware that it’s made to carry on the shoulder, but even then you have to be a really tall person to make this thing work without it hanging so low that it’s bouncing against your upper leg. Fail."

Handles too long
"I love everything about the tote except the length of the handles. They are just a bit too long for a small woman (5’4”) to carry without dragging the bag on the ground. If they were shorter, it would be perfect. Not sure whether I will return it or try to find a way to stitch the base of the handles so they are short enough. Please take into consideration that not all of us are 6’3" men!"

"Love that this bag can be zipped or left open with the adjustable strap and hook. Favorite feature is the water bottle sleeve on the inside. It is generous enough to easily hold my 24 ounce bottle upright, or can be collapsed to the side if not in use. This has everything I want for airline travel, including the trolley strap on the back."

My favorite all-around bag
"I use this bag for everything, every day! It is my go-to work bag that fits my 15" laptop and work accessories, a toiletry bag, a big water cup, and a packed lunch. When it doesn't carry my work stuff, it can hold an extra layer or anything else I need for my day. It is also very nice to travel with, as it has a trolley sleeve that easily slips over any luggage handle. It is comfortable to carry over your shoulder while running errands or traveling. I have not needed to use the crossbody strap yet, but it is nice to know that I have that option if needed. I get compliments on it often, and I am very happy with the Storm Grey color (it's more of an off-white in my opinion). My favorite feature is the interior water bottle pocket, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it fits my giant water cup with a large handle! I never have to worry about it tipping over or spilling."

- Hi Pamela, No, the Explore Tote does not come with backpack straps. The 2 ways to carry this bag are with the 2 handles on either side of the opening, or the longer removeable shoulder strap.
